Ergo Fit’s current and related projects include:

Lloyd-Jones-Meakin: engaged to provide workshops on OHS and workers compensation compliance and to assist with compliance audits for a boutique provider of behavioural safety solutions.

Flight Attendants Association of Australia: ErgoFit was engaged to assist the union review the Qantas corporate OHS system known as the “SAFE” system and to advise the union a way forward to effect consultative arrangements and risk management provisions to ensure compliance with the OHS Act and Regulation.

Australiasian Meat Industry Employees Union: engaged to design and deliver 10 workshops for OHS Representatives and union delegates on the fundamental aspects of both the new OHS legislation and workers compensation reforms as part of the “WorkCover Assist” Program.

WorkCover NSW: in association with Bryan Bottomley and Associates, developed and trialed 5 Employer Fact Sheets dealing with managing violence and robbery in the retail sector and a Guide for Employer and Employee on managing violence in the people transport industry.

National Occupational Health & Safety Commission: engaged to revise 29 competence based assessment instruments which form the structure for the National Certification assessment system and to write a number of learning guides on the safe operation of specific industrial plant. This involves broad target consultation on a national level with key stakeholders to review the existing instruments and guides and to trial the products which result from the project.

Premiers Department NSW : ErgoFit was the consultancy engaged to revise and update the whole of Governments OHS Policy guidelines, "Taking Safety Seriously" in line with recent amendments to OHS Act 2000 and new OHS Regulation 2001.

Meat and Livestock Australia : engaged to provide strategic project management to the OHS continuous improvement project resulting form the industry restructure program. This involves developing a model and a forum to test and gain CEO commitment, designing consultation arrangements, developing information and training material for participating sites and consultants and evaluating the overall outcomes of the project.

Department of Mineral Resources: Engaged by the Department of Mineral Resources to develop and deliver a training package for Mines Inspectors on the provisions of the OHS Act and  Regulation and to prepare an information kit for the Mining Industry.

WorkCover NSW : Developed “Workplace Safety Kit and a plain English guide to Risk Management at Work. Both publications are the centrepiece of WorkCover's program of assistance for employers to help them understand and meet their obligations under new OHS Regulation 2001.

WorkCover NSW :  Engaged to develop and implemented training package in new OHS Act 2000 and OHS Regulation 2001 for WorkCover inspectors.  Aim of training was to alert inspectors to new provisions and new risk management approach to enforcement. As part of this training conceptualised and developed the “OHS Regulation Pocketbook”, a simple guide to the Regulation which can be easily accessed by inspector’s.
NRMA : SafetyMAP audits of two national business units to identify OHS compliance, undertake gap analysis and develop improvement plans. The Business Units involved were NRMA Vehicle Inspections and Insurance Management Australia.

Premium Discount Advisor : Ergo Fit was approved by WorkCover NSW as a Category Three Premium Discount Adviser under the NSW Premium Discount Scheme.  The Category Three approval is the highest discount rating awarded to consultants under the Scheme and recognises Ergo Fit’s experience in reviewing and auditing OHS and Injury Management systems. Current premium Discount clients include Consolidated Constructions, Prime Quality Meats, Pacific International Hotels and potentially, Federal Express, Pacific International Hotels, NRMA and UTS.


Price Waterhouse Coopers : Invited to jointly lead an audit team to conduct an injury management and workers compensation claims audit of BHP Steel’s self insurance portfolio. The scope of the audit was to provide BHP with a compliance report and an improvement plan to ensure they were able to obtain an additional self insurer’s license when BHP Steel is publicly listed in 2002. Also invited to undertake a similar assignment with PwC which involved auditing Mayne Group’s OHS Management System for self insurer licensing purposes. 

Global Television : t raining of staff & management in OHS and Injury Management policies and procedures utilising OHS and Injury Management system previously developed by Ergo Fit.
Mayne Nickless : developed and implemented strategy to design and present options for long term workers compensation claimants to seek alternatives to weekly benefits.
NRMA : provided training in new workers compensation amendments for staff in NRMA’s Injury Management Branch.  Training included Dispute Resolution and common law procedures.

National Occupational Health & Safety Commission (NOHSC): Engaged by the National OHS Commission to assess and review Assessment Instruments under the National OHS Certification Standard for Users and Operators of Industrial Equipment.  The Certification project involved the review of detailed Assessment Instruments against nominated performance criteria, revising these Instruments in line with the principles of competency-based assessment, trailing the draft Instruments with a range of industry stakeholders and processing the completed tools through the National Commission.

OHS Management Systems : worked with a range of small and medium sized organisations to review their existing OHS systems and to assist them to develop and implement integrated OHS &IM management systems in line with legislative requirements. Clients include: Art Gallery of NSW, Insurance Manufactures Australia, NRMA Vehicle Inspections, Mayne Nickless Express, Armaguard, Health Care of Australia, The Housing Connection, Lavander *, AG Security, Forestville Auto Cares, Lansvale Smash Repairs, Bunge Meats, Department of Community Services.


Ergonomic Assessments
: undertaken workplace assessments and provided ergonomic advice to the following organisations: NRMA Insurance, Proctor and Gamble, Sabre Pacific, Foot Cone and Belding, Bell Property, Singapore Press Holdings.
